Surf Now. Apocalypse Later.

The end has come and gone. The rapture has been captured in Globe's newest surf film "Year Zero", which follows surfers Dion Agius, Yadin Nicol, Nate Tyler, Taj Burrow, CJ Hobgood, Damien Hobgood through a post-apocalyptic world in search of waves and good times. Shot entirely in 16mm film, Year Zero incorporates an original soundtrack provided by Black Mountain that you become completely encompassed in. Beautiful scenery and visuals combined with Black Mountain's original score mesh so well, that it's easy to forget you are watching a surf movie. The level of performance surfing is very high-caliber, and all surfers justify their position in the post-apocalyptic setting. If you enjoy Globe's other movies such as "Secret Machine" and "New emissions of light and sound", then you will definitely want to add this to your video stockpile.

Volcom Bushfish 2011

Once again, VOLCOM brought the Bushfish VQS series to Bob Hall Pier and the planets aligned for a beautiful day with some small, but fun waves.


Congrats to Morgan Faulkner for taking down the pro division and taking home $500!




Shane Wiggins was electrifying the crowd with his aerial perfromance, and he took home the Volt Thrower award and $100!

Once again, the House of Rock provided us with the perfect Venue for this event! Big thanks out to Casey and his crew! Big ups to all the artists who helped me make this possible by providing their artwork and time!

-Late March into early April of this year, a group of fellow TX surfers took the trip of their lifetimes, to the pristine tropical waters of the Indian Ocean. We boarded a boat called the "Oasis", and sailed out to the Mentawaii Island chain. We wern't blessed with the best surf, but we were with safe travel, great times, and beautiful scenery. Take a visual journey with us back onboard the "Oasis", and try to "Find your Flow in Indo"!!

Musical performances will be provided by Jurassic Acid and Marshall Influence!

International Go Surfing/Skating Days

INTERNATIONAL GO SKATEBOARDING DAY 2011!!
June 21 is the summer solstice, or longest day of the year. So what's a better way of celebrating this day, other than doing outdoor activities!
A few of us from Wind&Wave are going to Victoria tomorrow for the contest! We will be posted up under the WindandWave tent, or pushing our way across the park! Come on out to the park if you wish to enter the contest which is FREE!! Tons of free swag is on offer!





And today the 20th is INTL GO SURFING DAY! And luckily, we have waves today in TX!Its waist to chest, wind out of the south, so either bust a drift sesh or hide behind a pair of jetties!


Beautiful Day to be had out there so get on it!!
